Am amazing shot as always.
Beautiful photo! The petals look so soft and fragile – you just want to touch them!
Thank you Amy
Great shot. I want to stick my nose up to the computer screen to see if it smells as good as it looks. Do you think that would work?
Thanks for sharing the picture.
Thank you Angie – unfortunately it doesn’t smell

Oh my, Karen — certainly no words required for this lovely bloom!
Thanks Nancy – much appreciated.
Thank you P
Lovely pic – I must get a better camera as I struggle with close ups.
Hi Patientgardener – I have to say a tripod always helps with closeups. Thanks for dropping by
My kind of photo as you know. Beautiful.
Thanks Shirley 🙂
Lovely, lovely , lovely, like a debutant’s gown;which one is she?
Hi Zoe – thanks for visiting – it is an annual poppy that I got last year and has self seeded again this year. It was a packet of “mixed poppy seeds” so I am afraid it has no name.
Thank you Happy Mouffetard
Your blog is so beautiful – this photograph especially so. Thanks for visiting mine.
Hi Jo – I enjoyed my visit to your blog – thank you for the nice comments.
Such a frilly beauty!
Hi Katarina, thanks for visiting and taking the time to leave a comment – much appreciated.
I love this photo. It makes me think of ruffle upon ruffle of pink tulle.
Hi Amy – I know what you mean – poppies really do look like they are ball-gown material!
A haunting photo … ‘as good as it gets’!
Thanks joey – glad you liked the picture
flamenco dancers’ skirts! Gorgeous.
Hi Threadspider – a great description
What a lovely shade of pink. I love poppies, but so do the deer who live in the woods behind my house. Quite often, I will wait for a blossom to open, then find it gone!
Hi Sandy – So frustrating waiting for a bloom to have it snaffled by the deer –
Thanks for visiting
That is a wonderful photograph … I love it!
