Beautiful – and for a Canna lily, extremely tasteful and restrained :-)

What a lovely colour – despite the rain. I like the way it looks against the grass.

I think the rain adds to this shot. So soft and lovely.

    I agree–beautiful shot, shapes, texture.

And of course I can’t help wondering: what cultivar of calla is this? Cameo? I’m not real up on callas.

We could use a bit of that rain here, Karen! Lovely photo …

Lovely photo, looks great against those bronzed grasses too.

The rain is good for something – it adds an extra dimension to your beautiful photo!

I love your photos and we too have been awash with rain here. The good news is that the veg garden is doing really well and I have not spent most of the non-existent summer watering. The bad news is my legs are white as white can be.

The raindrops on thee flowers is becoming a trade mark. Another beautiful photo. Love the colours of this flower.
    Cheers

I went away for a few days this week, and was given a shopping list by Karen. Plants of course!! Went to 4 garden centres/nurseries before I found any of them. (She is very picky on what variety she wants). Struck gold at a place called Bridgemere, near Nantwich. Now part of the Wyvale group, but absolutely huge and staff very helpful. Couldn’t resist a few buys for myself as well. Will see you tomorrow with your new plants.

Beautiful soft colours, Karen, like the way the rain drops enhance the surface.

Thanks to you all for the comments. Much appreciated.

Pomona – I am sorry I dont know what type of calla this was – it was just sold as dark calla.

Patientgardener and Zoe – I love that grass – I forget its name now (sorry) When I bought it I worried that it might just look like “dead grass” but it is a lovely soft colour.

Elizabethm – I so know what you mean about the white legs :)

    Thanks Dobby :)
